Reddam House schools in South Africa have entered into a partnership with Northern Consortium UK (NCUK), dedicated to providing students with guaranteed access to leading universities in the UK, USA, New Zealand, Australia, and Canada. NCUK is offering the International Foundation Year (IFY) at the Reddam House Waterfall Campus (Johannesburg) and the Reddam House Constantia Campus (Cape Town), as well as an online offering nationally.
The IFY is a seven-month modular bridging course between a Matric qualification and the first year of an international university that leads to global study opportunities. Equivalent to A levels, the IFY has existed internationally since 1987.Reddam House schools are now the first educational institution in South Africa to offer the IFY. 90% of participating students gain access to their first-choice of international university. Completion of the course leads to access to 4 000 degrees.

The qualification is designed for students to be taught in small classes, in their own country, before commencing their undergraduate course. As most international universities begin their year in September, this is ideal for South African matriculants who receive their matric results at the beginning of January, to complete the IFY bridging course from January to July in order to commence their international studies in September. The NCUK Student Services team also provides assistance with university applications, courses, visas and accommodation.
