Reddam House Boarding School

Our overnight, weekly and full-time residence options offer students a wonderful opportunity to immerse themselves in campus culture more fully. Set in an indigenous coastal forest, our facilities are modern, yet are underscored by old-fashioned values that include having good manners – being punctual, respectful of seniors and elders, as well as helpful, neat and tidy.

Resident students are accommodated in bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, housing no more than 4 students per bedroom. Boys and Girls (Grade 8 – 12) are housed in separate boarding house but share a common dining room.

Students have access to their own swimming pool, along with a range of recreational facilities, including DSTV and Wi-Fi. Conveniently located alongside the College building where they can walk to and from school, and also access a range of school facilities: two coffee shops, creative & performing arts facilities – including 14 music practice rooms – the Media Centre, 6 tennis courts, the AstroTurf, sports fields and an Olympic-size Water Polo pool.

Mr. Hadyn Skinner, Director of Aquatics, and previous Head of Boarding at Northwood Boys’ School is the Head of the residences at Reddam House Umhlanga. He is based on campus and can be called on 24 hours a day. Head of the Girl’s Res is Ms. Ann Couzens.

For full-time res students, the school organises regular outings to the beach, movies at Gateway, music concerts in Chris Saunders Park, shopping and much more.

We are very excited to offer this wonderful facility that will both nurture and inspire our students and create a family environment for them away from home.
